You can continue your membership at United Energy CU even if you change jobs and your new job is not in our field of membership. You don’t have to close your credit union account if you change jobs or if you move away. We have over 5,000 shared branches which means you have more direct access to your money than most traditional bank customers do. We value your business and look forward to a long relationship with you and your family.

CIP NOTICE TO NEW MEMBERS

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

What that means to you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We will also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.

What is a Credit Union?

When you become a member of United Energy Credit Union, you become a part of a larger family. Here, we value our United Energy members — and your families. United Energy Credit Union's mission is an easy and natural fit with the credit union philosophy and credo “People Helping People”. At our credit union, you are part owner, not just another customer. Unlike a traditional bank, you have a say in the direction we take - not stockholders. We're a not-for-profit cooperative, which means the earnings we get are given back to our members in the form of lower rates, higher dividends and lower fees. Your financial success is our success. And your vote counts. A volunteer board of directors is elected by members to manage the credit union.
