Data Processing Conversion Announcement

Data Processing Conversion

On Monday, July 1, 2024, United Energy CU will be  converting to a new data processor - a new and better system.    Our doors will be closed for business, but our staff will be in the office and available by phone to assist you during this time.   It is important to note that this conversion includes the following services:

           · Virtual Branch online banking

           · Bill Pay

           · Shared Branching

           · Touch Tone Teller (audio system)

We anticipate that online banking and touch tone teller will be down beginning on Sunday, June 30th at 9:00 p.m. Once the conversion is complete, members will then have access to their accounts starting on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.   Please be advised that your funds remain easily accessible via your ATM/Debit/Credit  cards.

Overview:  What You Need to Know

First and foremost,  your personal data and account information will be safe and secure as we transition to our new system.  Your account number will NOT change with the conversion.  Only the suffix information for some accounts may change.   You will only notice this change when you use  online or telephone banking.  The new suffix numbers are listed below:

           · Travel Club                          #11

· Christmas Club                    #7

· Traditional IRA                    #40

· Roth IRA                               #46

· Checking                              #75

· 2nd Chance Checking        #76

Our system will go into conversion mode on Sunday evening .   You will not have access to Virtual Branch, (online banking), BillPay or the Touch Tone Teller (audio system) while the data is being converted.  If you use Card Guard to turn your debit/credit card on/off, be sure to turn your card on before the  conversion.   Also, you will need to check your control settings to make sure you will have the ability to perform all types of transactions with your card during the conversion.  Access to your accounts using Shared Branching will also be unavailable during the conversion on Monday, July 1st.   Shared Branching will be fully operational on Tuesday, July 2nd.  The credit union will post all ACH direct deposits prior to the conversion on Friday, June 28th.   If you have a deposit dated for July 1st but it is in the warehouse we will post this transaction early.   Any files received from the FRB on July 1st will be posted on the 2nd.    If you have concerns about your deposit, please contact the credit union at 281.964.1777 option #3. All members will receive a paper statement in July; however, for members who have opted for electronic statements those will resume with the next statement cycle.  We will be changing statement vendors so your statement will look a little different but all the pertinent information will be available in the new statement format.  Please note that dividends will be posted on June 30th instead of July 1st.   However, your next dividend will post as scheduled on October 1st. We have sent out an email to all credit union members.  If you did not receive an email, please contact the credit union to update your email address in order for us to communicate with you during the conversion.

We apologize in advance for any inconvenience that this may cause you.     This change will allow us to be a better financial partner.   Here are a few things you can look forward to in the future:

  • Credit Sense:  Program that will be offered through online banking which allows you to have access to your credit score.   You will be able to see a full credit report along with easy-to-use digital tools and personalized guidance to help you make better financial decisions.

  • Early Direct Deposit:  Allows us to post your paycheck up to two days earlier than your regularly scheduled payday.   Get your paycheck in your account sooner!

  • Mobile Deposit:  Make check deposits 24/7, wherever you and your phone go.   Skip the branch and deposit your check by taking a picture on your phone within our mobile app.

  • Online Account Opening:   Members will be able to open new accounts online making it easier, safer, and faster to open accounts.

  • Instant Issue Debit Cards:   Members will no longer have to wait for cards to be sent through the mail.    The credit union will soon be able to offer replacement cards in the branch.
